“...The only fully ergonomic solution is to change

the sitting position when working long hours”

THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE

The pace of contemporary life and rapid changes in our environment result
in destructive alterations to our posture. The main challenge is the sedentary lifestyle that spans work and private time.

The sitting posture has dominated our life. We sit more and more often; at work, in school, while commuting, at home or when meeting with friends for a latte. Sitting properly requires little effort and yet, it is rare. Long working hours in incorrect posture, caused by inadequate chairs translate into painful back problems and may lead to degeneration of the spine. Over their lifetime, majority of office workers would experience the adverse effects of bad sitting habits.

Spinal strain in a sitting position can be 40-90% greater than in a standing position. This is because when sitting, we lose the natural, physiological curvature of the spine. The pelvis is positioned in such a way that the spine in the lumbar and cervical sections tends to bend. This unnatural angle (below 130 degrees between the lower leg and the spine) drastically increases the pressure on the vertebrae and intervertebral discs, leading to their overload and damage. This is not a matter of bad habits, but of the biological structure of our body, which is not adapted to long-term sitting in a conventional way.

Our chair with a wide angle is solving this problem!
